Res Marina has developed a new way of “thinking” the hyperbaric rescue chambers: our self launching HRC is a full free fall design, that ensures the best safety and reliability.
Designed to provide water penetration after the free fall phase
The HRC vessel and protection hulls are designed to provide water penetration after the free fall phase; this design allows to launch the HRC from greater heights, compared with conventional shapes, with less impact forces affecting the occupants; moreover the energy given by the fall is used to carry the HRC away from the vessel and thus far from danger.
Easier to install and less subject to malfunctions
Res Marina firmly believes in the benefits ensured by free fall design: easier to install and less subject to malfunctions and to accident due to multiple wire motion, compared to the standard davit launching systems.
This belief has led us to patent the HRC design.
Future development
Future development will transform the HRC into a Self Propelled Hyperbaric Lifeboat (SPHL) by means of a set of water proof electric motors included in the protection hulls.
